Ania Boczar

Anna Boczar is graduate of Krakow Music School which she finished with honors in 2001. Her piano tutor was prof. Stefan Wojtas, thanks to his support she received French Council scholarship and was able to continue her post graduate education in Paris at prestigious La Schola Cantoru in piano class led by prof. Eugene Indjic.

She is laureate of meny national and international piano contests i.a.: International Chopin Concert in Marianskie Lazne (1999, Czech) and Ankara (1999, Turkey); International Cometition of Contemporary Chamber Music of Krzysztof Penderecki in Krakow (2000, as a soloist), international Piano Concert of H. Czerny-Stefańśkiej in Aomori (2000, Japan) and International Chamber Music Contest in Gdansk (2006, Poland). She also performed for international audiences in Berlin, Bethlehem, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Paris and Milano.

She works also as a music teacher in piano class of National Music School of W. Żeleński in Kraków as well as in Private Professional Music School of A. Dębski (Kraków). Privately she is fascinated with music of Federic Chopin and performs piano recitals in Renaissance Chamber of famous Wierzynek Restaurant, Kraków.

Joanna Tarnowska

She started to play violin at the age of 6 to succeed and become one of the best students at prominent Krakow Music Academy (violin class under supervision od professor Bożena Hordzej-Mucharska). During her studies she was influenced and supported by recognized polish violin tutors Kaja Danczowska and Wiesław Kwaśny.

Since she studied, she performed along with The Beethoven Academy Orchestra – one of Poland’s leading symphony orchestras of the young generation, founded and supported by Elżbieta Penderecka. Since more than 5 years she is a soloist of The Orchestra Of The City Of Kraków, where she plays in st. Peter’s and Paul’s Church.

In her career she performed for many audiences around the world including: Poland, Czech, Germany, France, Norway, Iceland, Georgia and China playing classical as well as contemporary music. One of the biggest success of her musical experience was performing along with Grzegorz Turnau, Hans Zimmer and Leszek Możdżer.

Joanna believes that while she plays it is the most important to transfer all emotions into violin and music so one could experience more than only sound. For Joanna music is a story that one can tell only if its fully engaged into it.

He graduated from Krakow Music Academy (pipe organ class). Also, he studied in Trossingen, Germany. At present he is organ player in Bernardine Church in Krakow as well as soloist of many Polish and international concerts. He cooperates with many talented artist of young generation finding his passion in playing classical and modern organ works.

One of the most talented graduate of Krakow Music Academy (solo singing faculty under supervision of dr Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha), who participated in many international singing courses (tutors i.a.: Howard Crook, Marcin Habela i Christina Pluhar). For her talent and skills she received scholarship from Little Poland Scholar Foundation, thanks to which in 2010 she debuted in Krakow Opera stage. Later she was known form popular Krakow’s Loch Camelot (cabaret and entertainment) where she performed and recorded many shows for Polish Radio and TV.

In her career she participated and won many contests including Unforgettable Artist Festival in Bydgoszcz (2008). She is laureate of Marek Grechuta festival (2011) and Festival of Film Ballade and Music (2014).

She is professional singer at gregorian Flores Rosarum choir, which for the first time in polish history performed Ordo Virtutum (2013) – medieval liturgical drama by Hildegard of Bingen. This was achieved with help of Swiss band Peregrina. Ada Bujak togheter with Flores Rosarum attempt to recover heritage of forgotten polish medieval music exploring and examining libraries of old monasteries in Krakow (Poor Clares), Lubiąż (Cistercians) and Staniątki (Benedictine).

Artist cooperates and performs with i.a.: Podkarpacka Philharmonic, Częstochowa Philharmonic, Camerata Cracovia, Krakow Chamber Opera, Wawel Royal Castle Florapari, Tatra Mountain Orchesta, Capellae Cracoviensis. She performed for audiences in many contries including: Slovakia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, England, Belgium and Australia. She is also engaged into education participating in concerts for children organized by Kraków Philharmonic as well as teaching at Kraków Music School.

This year together with the Orchestra of the City of Cracow she will perform traditional polish (and not only polish) carols at special Christmas Concert at st. Peter & Paul Church.

Paweł Wróbel started his musical education at the F.Chopin State Music School in Strzelce Opolskie and Opole, then continued his studies in the piano class of the Bydgoszcz Academy of Music studying with prof. Jerzy Sulikowski, dr hab. Piotr Kępiński. He is the winner of the 17th International Piano Competition in Warsaw and laureate of 26’th International Piano Competition in Barletta (Italy). He performed in Japan (Tokyo, Kummamoto, Hitoyoshi), Italy (Grosetto Piano Festiwal), Lithuania, Romania, Czech Republic, France, Switzerland, Spain and Germany.

Graduated with award from the Faculty of Vocal and Theatrical Arts, the Academy of Music in Cracow, in the class of Olga Popowicz, Assistant Professor. During her studies, she made her stage debut in the Cracow Opera House with a solo part of the Queen of the Night from W A Mozart’s Magic Flute. She is a soloist of Opera Galas and Music Festival , among others , of the concert dedicated to a famous tenor ,entitled ‘Wiesław Ochman and his times’, held at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw; concerts of the 11th and 12th Summer Music Festival in KRynica Zdroj and of the 19th Henryk Gorecki Polish Composers Festival . In 2015, during the Jan Kiepura International Vocal Competition, the singer was awarded for the best performance of the Polish aria – viz. Hanna’s aria from the Haunted Manor – an opera of S. Moniuszko.

Maciej Banek has successfully graduated from National Secondary Music School in Rzeszów. He continued his education in Kraków at Music Academy at the faculty of pipe organ under supervision of prof. Mirosława Semeniuk-Podraza (master degree with honours, 2004). Again after the studies he became post-graduate on instrument faculty  of Music Academy in Kraków in the class of dr Dariusz  Bąkowskiego-Kois. He also participated in many organ courses, working with many international musicians (i. a. Josepa Mas I Boneta, Guy Bovet, James David Christie, Gerhard Gnann, Ewald Kooiman, Jon Laukvik, Daniel Roth).

Maciej Banek has played as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist durng many polish and internatonal concerts and festivals.

Presently he is an organist at st. Sanislaw Church in Kraków as well as teacher od organ class in Archdiocesan Music School of cardinal Franciszek Macharski in Kraków, as well as founder and conductor of choir “Schola Cantorum Sancti Stanislai” in Kraków.

Cypiran Jagiełło is an honourable graduate of the Academy of Music in Kraków, the faculty of pipe organ under the supervision of Prof. Józef Serafin, and of postgraduate studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz Konzertaxamen, faculty of concerts under the supervision of Prof. Gerhard Gnann. During the university studies he was privileged to attend the lectures of visiting Prof. Emanuel Le Divellac (Paris / Bern). The musician has participated in many organ performance and improvisation courses run by the distinguished educators from worldwide, as well in scientific sessions and symposia.

Cyprian Jagiełło is the 3rd Award Winner of the international contest of W. A. Mozart’s organ music “Musik in Kloster Saarn”, the 2nd Award Winner of the international organ contest „Orgues sans frontières” in Luxembourg, and was granted the Johannes Gutenberg University Award for artistic work and accomplishments.

Currently, he supervises the faculty of organ at the Archdiocesan School Music School of F. Cardinal Macharski in Kraków. The musician is also an organist at the Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Kraków. Cyprian Jagiełło gives regular concerts home and abroad (Germany, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland). His wealthy repertoire includes all organ works by W. A. Mozart. In his concerts he often performs organ improvisations.

Since 7 years Soloists of Legendary Wierzynek perform most popular and recognized works of Federic Chopin, probably the best of all polish composers. During the concert one can listen to traditional performance of polish mazurkas, etudes and nocturnes as well as its modern arrangements created by our talented soloists, which will give a new impression of romantic music. The concert is performed by one of four talented pianists: Ireneusz Boczek, Paweł Motyczyński, Agnieszka Kawula or Katarzyna Vernet prized at many Polish and international piano contests. Each of them is featured by individual style, and the differences between the way they play creates original and dynamic mixture in which any fan of classical music can find something alluring.

Orkiestra Miasta Krakowa

The Orchestra Of The City Of Kraków is a new chamber orchestra of Polish music scene wich came into existance thanks to members’ great love to baroque music. Orchestra consist of young and devoted to classical music graduates of Kraków Music Academy. The musicians are laureates of many international contests such as Violin Contest of H. Wieniawski in Poznan, The International Violin Contest of P. Czajkovsky in Moscow and The International Contest of N. Paganini in Genua. They were getting expierenceon many orchestral courses inter alia Bayreuth (Junger Kunstler Festival) in Graz, (European Youth Chamber Orchestra Of Styria) as well as on the courses of the music interpretation led by J. Ogg, S. Rampe, K. Weiss, N. Parl, M. Wolf. This young orchestra’s common feature is great involvement and passion shown when playing big concerts or performing for small audience.

This fine selection of works of polish composers will be performed by maestro Ireneusz Boczek. He is the first-class graduate of the Music Academy of Cracow, and also the participant of many polish piano contests, as well as a laureate of international piano contest “Palma’d Oro” in Italy. He worked with Kraków, Rzeszów and Łódź philharmonic. For his musical achievements he received a scholarship of “Lions Club Berlin” and Frederic Chopin Society in Warsaw . While playing he comes back to XIX c. traditions, but his style is featured with individualism and originality of interpretation.

Agnieszka began to play piano at the age of 8. She graduated with honors from The Music Academy in Kraków. The artist is laureate of many competitions for young pianists, such as: International Chopin Competition For Young Pianists In Narva, Estonia and National Piano Competition in Cracow. She performed concerts during International Music Festival “Chopin and His Europe” in Warsaw as well as during “Chopin Days” festival in Tibilisi, Georgia. She also participated in prestigious festival in Żelazowa Wola – the place of birth of Frederic Chopin. One of her many achievements was record of Chopin’s works for Polish Radio. Agnieszka style is featured with brisk play full of passion she reads from notes. While listening one can admire modern approach in interpreting classic piano works.

Katarzyna Vernett started to play piano at age of 5. She is gifted postgraduate student of Music Academy in Katowice. She performed at many polish and international contests, concerts and recitals (i.a. Etllingen and Gottlingen) as well as at many festivals such as “Wawel at Down” in Kraków and Polish Piano Contest in Warsaw organized by prestigious National Institute of Frederic Chopin. She is prized by the President of Katowice for her outstanding musical achievements and received a scholarship of President of Cracow. She also recorded for Polish Radio and TV. Her style is both filled with gentleness and ease, but at the same time can be very dynamic and expressive.

Paweł Motyczyński began to play piano at the age of 8. In 2013 he successfully finished Music Academy in Kraków, where recently he continues his education as post-graduate. In 2015 he additionally started master-class of chamber music in Katowice. As a soloist he performed during many festivals i.a. “Wawel at Down” in Kraków, “Piano Plage in Ousterheim, France and International Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój. He played with Polish National Philharmonic, Kraków Philharmonic and National Orchestra of the Polish Radio. Paweł was prized at many piano contests such as Polish Piano Contest in Warsaw organized by prestigious National Institute of Frederic Chopin. He received many scholarships i.a. “Sapere Auso” Foundation, and Polish ministries of Culture and Education. His style is filled with emotions he perfectly reads from the notes.

‘LajkFolk Group’ consist of young and talented artists devoted to polish folk traditions: Krzysztof Szwajdych (clarinet), Piotrek Piętak (accordion), Paweł Sztaba (double bass), Wojtek Daniel (dance), Anna Nowak (dance), Anna Stec (singing). Those professional musicians earned their experience while travelling across many countries, and performing for people for all over the world.

In Spanish language, Tempero Group means a spice. The music – played by this group established by four Cracowian artists – derives from jazz and classical motifs and it stimulates strongly our senses as spices do.
Expressive jazz arrangements of klezmer music for the violin, accordion, double bass and percussions arouse unique emotions among the audience. Temperamental sounds are intertwined with tones full of gentleness. An integral part of TEMPERO’ concerts are unique improvisations made by the musicians. Although each of them abounds in freedom and nonchalance, their combination will constitute an exceptionally colorful and accurate mosaic of sounds.

Band participated in many festivals and contests such as: International Folk Music Festival “Rozstaje” in Katowice (2009) and 20th Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow (2010). It is prized at 11th Polish Radio Folk Music Festival in Warsaw (2009).

In 2012 Tempero produced their first CD entitled “6 p.m.”. In 2014 they performed and recorded unique concert in Temperl Synagogue which is fruit of series of Klezmer Music Concerts in Isaac Synagouge in Kazimierz, Krakow. CDs and DVDs are avaliable in sale!

The orchestra consists of the ablest graduates from the Academy of Music in Breslau; they are members of A Vista Quartetto ensemble, very successful on the topline stages in Poland, for example, Studio Koncertowe Polskiego Radia im. Lutosławskiego in Warsaw. They participate in international contests where they win prizes, among others, the 3rd prize at the Auditions of Chamber Ensembles at Jawor in 2012 and 2013 and at ‘The Concert of the Year’ in Warsaw. They also participated in maestro courses with prominent teachers, like Matthew Jones, Marcin Markowicz, Evan Rothstein. Recently, they have established the Chamber Orchestra – Wroclaw which performs classical and film music. Due to the ties of friendship existing among the orchestra members, all compositions are interpreted by them with much passion and gaiety, which makes each concert an exceptional musical feast.
